MacKenzie Scott is formerly married to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and pledged to award $33 billion to charities that satisfy her criteria for two years. Asian Hall of Fame qualified last year and must have a profitable operating budget of $1 - $5 million this year to qualify for her grant of $1 - $50 million. Asian Hall of Fame has raised $1 million so far and needs to raise $500,000 by December 15. If this goal is met, an anonymous media and entertainment CEO will donate $1 million to help Asian Hall of Fame qualify for the MacKenzie Scott Challenge.
Asian Hall of Fame | Supports Maui Families
In response to the wildfires on Maui, Asian Hall of Fame has activated its Trauma Advocacy Initiative. Their website is directing support to the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, and proceeds from its Season Preview Event at The Glenmark will provide shelter, food, and medical supplies through the Kākoʻo Maui Fund.
